Sam Isaacson
Coaching Perspective Author
Sam Isaacson works at the intersection of coaching, leadership and technology, focusing on how organisations can use coaching to create purposeful, measurable impact. His approach combines an understanding of organisational systems with an informed view of emerging technologies, including AI, blockchain and immersive environments. He supports individuals, teams and boards to integrate coaching effectively, align it with strategic objectives and adapt to the demands of an increasingly digital world.
Much of Sam’s work involves helping organisations put structure around the human aspects of leadership. This includes building internal coaching capability, designing accredited coach development programmes, establishing governance and quality assurance processes, and measuring the impact of coaching in a meaningful and sustainable way. He also advises on the ethical and practical implications of technology in coaching, drawing on his roles as founder and CEO of AIcoach.chat, a platform providing AI-enabled non-directive coaching conversations, and founder fo the Coachtech Collective, a global learning community for coaches.
Sam’s background spans professional services, technology start-ups, and independent consultancy. He has led award-winning coaching services, chaired the development of England’s largest coaching qualification, and delivered governance reviews for complex multinational organisations. Alongside advisory work, he provides executive coaching and supervision, working with leaders in corporate, public sector and non-profit contexts.
As an author and editor, Sam has contributed to practitioner and academic literature on coaching, including works on digital coaching practice, internal coaching strategy and leadership development. His books include How to Thrive as a Coach in a Digital World and Superhuman Coaching, and his work has been featured in both specialist and mainstream press publications.
He regularly speaks at conferences and events, both in the UK and internationally, on topics including the use of technology in coaching, the future of the coaching profession and the role of coaching in organisational strategy. As well as hosting the Digital and AI Coaches’ Conference he is a Chair for the Learning Technologies Conference and frequently contributes as a panel member and keynote speaker.
Sam’s work is underpinned by a belief that coaching should be systemically-impactful and well-governed, and that technology, used in a mature way, can support both aims. He continues to work with clients and professional bodies to shape approaches to coaching that are effective, ethical and relevant to the changing contexts in which leaders operate.
